Graham Storey - Yoga teacher

Graham StoreyCame into yoga in 1993 after being made redundant with BT in 1992. His initial work in yoga was as part of a back to work scheme undertaken helping out in a yoga class for people with learning difficulties. That inspired Graham and he developed his keen interest in yoga that grew from joining a weekly yoga class to qualifying as a BWY teacher in 2000.

He then taught in further education, sports centres and a psychiatric hospital and regularly attends seminars each year run by Yogacharya (professor of yoga) Dr.MV Bhole an international expert on yoga. Graham considers his teachings of experiential yoga as the foundation of his own yoga practise. He encourages people in the yoga class (for people with COPD) to fully understand and experience their own breathing. This enables each person to rectify wrong breathing patterns and breathe more effectively.

Graham considers it extremely rewarding when those people attend and say how much benefit they have gained from attending the classes.
