Surehealth is a charity providing local access to activities supporting health and wellbeing, especially directed at those normally least able to access such services. Activities are chosen particularly to complement existing conventional health care treatment for chronic diseases. All the activities we offer are approved by a Board which includes practitioners of conventional medicine. All our therapists and tutors are members of their respective professional bodies.
We can operate anywhere in the UK but our primary focus area is South Yorkshire and surrounding regions.
Surehealth is a locally based charity for the benefit of the community established in April 2007. Its aim is, to offer support to people with chronic health problems and particularly to those people who are disadvantaged in some way whether socially, financially or otherwise.
It is known that health generally, and particularly chronic ill health, is positively influenced by appropriate changes or additions to daily life activities. Thus, those who are down or depressed may be helped by meeting others in some joint activity, those with chronic heart or lung conditions may be helped by regular gentle exercise or movement. The same may be true for those with chronic musculoskeletal problems.
With this in mind, support is offered mainly in the form of classes and includes a suitable range of therapies: Yoga for pregnancy, yoga for COPD, Stress Management and Relaxation, Weight Management utilising NLP, Tai Chi.
